Sidmouth 10k.

Wellington Running Club had eleven members attend the inaugural Sidmouth 10k race on Sunday.

Perfect running conditions sore the runners take part on an out and back course down the famous Sidmouth “Byes” and seafront with a sneaky steep climb in between.

First “all black” home was Graham Bowpitt in a blistering time of 47:50, earning a finish spot of 24th out of the 325 runners taking part. Close on his heels were Paul Booker and Jeremy Walters. They did not need to look over the shoulders too far to see the rest of the group arriving in quick succession.

Finish times are great but so are finish lines! Were so very proud of all our members that completed the race with their own battles for personal times. Special mentions to Lucy Ford and Maggie Mac Kinnon, both taking part in the first race with finish times of 1:17 and 58:54 respectively
